WIG

Spiritual Meaning:
A wig, as in a judge’s wig, is a symbol of Spiritual authority and judgment. In Jewish belief a woman was expected to hide her hair lest anyone other than her husband saw it. Nowadays it would be under a wig.

Psychological / Emotional Perspective:
Sometimes a wig highlights the fact that we have something to hide. We are perhaps not as competent, as youthful, or as able as we would like others to believe.

Everyday Material Aspects:
In previous times, covering the head was considered to be a way of hiding the intellect, of giving a false impression, yet also of indicating wisdom and authority. A judge’s wig can suggest all of these on a temporal level. A hairpiece or toupĂ©e highlights false ideas or an unnatural attitude.
